AIR MINISTRY ANTIQUE OAK KITCHEN / DINING CARVER CHAIR - VINTAGE

£ 15

THIS IS A CARVER CHAIR, FROM THE 1940s/50s. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED BY EDWARD BARNSLEY FOR THE 'AIR MINISTRY'.

SOLID OAK. THE SEAT IS UPHOLSTERED IN WORN STAINED MATERIAL. THE SEAT PAD EASILY LIFT OUT, COULD EASILY BE UPHOLSTERED IN NEW MATERIAL. SEAT HEIGHT IS 46cm.

THE ARM REST IS BROKEN, IN NEED OF REPAIR.

THIS LOOKS OK AS IT IS, BUT COULD EASILY BE STRIPPED OR PAINTED. PLEASE SEEK ADVICE BEFORE STRIPPING OLD PAINT AND USE THE CORRECT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. IT WOULD LOOK GREAT PAINTED IN A CONTEMPORY COLOUR TO GIVE IT A STYLISH NEW LOOK.
