ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN WALNUT WARDROBE / COMPACTUM - DRAWERS

£ 245

THIS IS A LARGE LATE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN WARDROBE FROM THE EARLY 1900s, IT IS MADE FROM WALNUT. THE LEFT AND RIGHTHAND SECTIONS ARE WARDROBES WITH DOORS, CARVED DETAIL. INSIDE THERE ARE HANGING RAILS, A MATERIAL LINED BACK PANEL. THE CENTRE IS A MIRRORED DOOR.

2 DRAWERS BELOW. THE DRAWERS HAVE REPLACEMENT BRASS HANDLES AND DOVE TAIL JOINTS. THE WARDROBE IS IN 5 PIECES, THE BASE SECTION, 3 x WARDROBE SECTIONS AND A TOP PLINTH. IT IS IN AVERAGE CONDITION, SOME MINOR WEAR AND TEAR. IT IS FOR READY FOR COLLECTION FROM OUR GROUND FLOOR WAREHOUSE.

IT WILL REQUIRE A FEW SCREWS TO SECURE THE SECTIONS BACK TOGETHER. THEY ARE INCLUDED.

THIS LOOKS OK AS IT IS, BUT COULD EASILY BE STRIPPED OR PAINTED. PLEASE SEEK ADVICE BEFORE STRIPPING OLD PAINT AND USE THE CORRECT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. IT WOULD LOOK GREAT PAINTED IN A CONTEMPORY COLOUR TO GIVE IT A STYLISH NEW LOOK.  IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT TALL FURNITURE SHOULD BE SAFELY SECURED TO THE WALL WITH SCREWS / BRACKETS FOR SAFETY.
