ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU SATINWOOD WARDROBE - NEEDS REPAIR

£ 50

THIS IS A SOLID SATINWOOD WARDROBE WITH A MIRRORED DOOR FROM THE EDWARDIAN PERIOD. IT IS MADE IN THE ARTS & CRAFTS / ART NOUVEAU STYLE. IT HAS ORIGINAL METAL HANDLES.

THE WARDROBE DOES NOT DISMANTLE FOR TRANSPORT. THERE IS GENERAL WEAR AND TEAR, IT IS 100 YEARS OLD AND HAS SOME WEAR, MARKS, SCRATCHES etc. THE DOOR WON'T CLOSE, THE FRAME HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND NEEDS REPAIR BEFORE USE. SOME OLD WOODWORM HOLES, IDEALLY NEEDS TREATING AGAIN TO BE SURE.

THIS LOOKS OK AS IT IS, BUT COULD EASILY BE STRIPPED OR PAINTED. PLEASE SEEK ADVICE BEFORE STRIPPING OLD PAINT AND USE THE CORRECT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. IT WOULD LOOK GREAT PAINTED IN A CONTEMPORY COLOUR TO GIVE IT A STYLISH NEW LOOK. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT TALL FURNITURE SHOULD BE SAFELY SECURED TO THE WALL WITH SCREWS / BRACKETS FOR SAFETY.
